Reiki Master and Animal Reiki II
Reiki is an ancient form of energy healing, believed to have spread through Tibet, China and India thousands of years ago. The word Reiki is Japanese. My Reiki journey began in 2000.
"Rei" signifies Universal. "Ki" signifies Lifeforce. Reiki was rediscovered in the late 19th century in Sanskrit teachings from the days of the Buddha by Dr Mikao Usui a Japanese Christian Minister and theology teacher. It is widly recognised that it can help with mind, body and spiritual well-being and with deep relaxation, well-being and peacefulness.
Reiki is the Universal life force energy that flows through all living beings and can be activated for the purpose of healing. Crystals and gemstones are placed around the treatment suite. Clients relax on the warm treatment couch covered with cosy blankets. As a Usui Reiki practitioner/Master. I place my hands above and on certain areas of a fully clothed body and on and above the chakra areas including on the crown, head, face, ears, neck, arms, knees, ankles and feet to create a sense of tranquility. Many clients are instinctively drawn to particular crystals and gemstones and are invited to choose and hold the crystal hearts they like the look and feel of through out their treatment. Some clients see different colours or can feel energy, fall asleep and feel deeply relaxed.
Crystals
Throughout history Crystals have been regarded as a source of beauty and healing. The ancients knew the vibrational frequency and energy of crystals and gemstones and how they can support our own inner healing abilities for the mind, body and soul. Crystals are nature's most magical treasure. They are a source of nature's energy and an electronic miracle. The family of quartz crystals support powering quartz watches, mobile phones, computers, laptops, military satellites, MRI machines and radios.
The science behind crystals. When crystals are compressed or bent, they generate a charge or voltage on the crystal surface a phenomen known as the "Piezoelectric" effect. An electrical current. Quartz crystals have a unique property of being able to vibrate at any frequency. Everything in the Universe vibrates at frequency.
Animal Reiki II
My Healing journery in animal Reiki began in 2013, by being attunded in Reiki II, working with my Reiki Master with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunny rabbits and a horse. This was a very special and deeply rewarding time in my life. Animals gave me unconditonal love when working with them. Today, I work with dogs and cats in my consultation office in Aldeburgh. Clients approach me if they feel they would like to add this complementary therapy to their animals existing treatment plan at the vets. The owner fills in an animal Reiki confidential case history form which details their pets lifestyle, health, medications, allergies, any operations which is taken to their vet to sign. I always ask the pet for permission before beginning and allow the animal to decide how they would like to receive reiki. I channel Reiki II on well behaved dogs and cats. I ask the owner to bring a soft brush of their animals and a toy. I sit on the floor with my crystals, the owner sits on a sofa. Their pet decides what happens next and how long their treatment will last. Many pets fall into a deeply relaxing sleep and snore. To date I have not charged for animal reiki treatments. My business is now becoming very booked up with animal reiki treatments and a fee will now be charged.

The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. However, the healing of animals by contact healing, by laying on the hands or distant healing is legal. However, the Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. To give emergency First Aid to animals for the purpose of saving a life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3.
